One in three women will die from heart disease or stroke, but a majority of these cardiac events are preventable.
Regular exercise is one way to reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease. The good news: It doesn’t take much to improve your heart’s health. The American Heart Association recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per week for adults.
Walking, running or participating in any heart rate-boosting activity counts. As an added benefit, exercise also can increase your energy, strength and mood while fending off serious issues like obesity, high blood pressure, poor cholesterol and bone loss.
