High schoolers introduced to corporate work

High school students often lack real-world work experience, but Cristo Rey Tampa High School’s Corporate Work Study Program solves this issue by immersing 132 students into corporate work before they graduate.

The program was created for college-bound students looking to gain entry-level job experience. For five days a month, students do full workdays in roles like accounts receivable analyst or legal assistant. It’s the only program of its type in Florida.

In the process, the program’s corporate partners help students as they determine their college focus. Information about supporting the program financially can be found here.
