Making a film is never an easy process, but when making a film during a pandemic, it can be even trickier.
Each of the teams who participated in this year’s competition completed a Safe Set Certification. Some teams didn’t feel much impact, while others such as Space Dreams Productions were isolated in New York during the competition and required to take stricter precautions.
Many of the teams used this as a chance to stretch their creativity, and isolation became a theme. Overall, this might have brought a darker tone to the competition, but art often reflects the current times.
