The ESPY Awards show on ESPN highlights the cream of the sports world crop, and Tampa Bay rose to the top.
The Buccaneers won the “Best Team” and quarterback Tom Brady was the “Best Athlete” in the men’s sports division.
Brady sent a taped acceptance message and noted, “I don’t really play for individual awards. I love football and I love that it’s a team sport and our team won the Super Bowl.”
Tight end Rob Gronkowski, one of several Bucs at the show, said, “The first day of practice, I’m looking and, damn, we’ve got a sh**load of talent.”
