Ken Welch rolls out transition team ahead of January inauguration

St. Petersburg Mayor-elect Ken Welch has announced key members of his transition team, who will work as close advisers as he prepares to take office in January.

Stephanie Owens, who served as Welch’s campaign manager, will become the transition team director. Cynthia Johnson, director of Pinellas County Economic Development, will serve as the economic development advisor on the transition team.

St. Petersburg College President Tonjua Williams and Melissa Seixas, president of Duke Energy Florida, will also join the team.

Welch will be inaugurated on Jan. 6, replacing term-limited Mayor Rick Kriseman. More information on the team can be found here.
