A 21-foot giant flamingo sculpture at Tampa International Airport is a selfie magnet. Now it needs a name.
Airport officials are launching a contest, offering a grand prize of four roundtrip tickets on Silver Airways, a VIP package to Busch Gardens with single-day admission, dining passes and unlimited quick queue for four and recognition at a naming reveal.
The contest runs through Dec. 6. Submissions can be made at NameTheFlamingo.com, including an explanation for the name. Only one submission per entrant.
The sculpture already has a name, “Home,” but airport officials and sculptor Matthew Mazzotta are looking for a nick-name.
