HART Board authorizes investigation into embattled CEO

by The 100 Companies

The Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority at a special meeting Tuesday authorized an investigation into allegations of a hostile work environment and double-dipping.

Board members called the meeting after HART employees called for agency CEO Adelee Le Grand to resign amid employee treatment complaints. She also faced criticism when a top staffer earned more than $200,000 a year at the agency while secretly working another full-time transit job, a violation of both’s employment policies.

Outside counsel David Adams will oversee the investigation and report to HART General Counsel David Smith, who reports to the HART board, ensuring an independent process.
