Kids gain confidence through creative writing

Last year, Give Day supporters helped Keep St. Pete Lit raise enough money to pay for eight students to attend the group’s first Creative Writing Summer Camp. Keep St. Pete Lit fosters a love of reading and writing through writing classes, poetry readings and storytelling open mics.

In the two-week creative writing camp at the Morean Center for Clay in St. Petersburg, kids ages 9-12 hone their creative skills and build confidence as they explore storytelling through play, art, writing and zine-making.
