Amazon to open robotic sorting facility in Pasco County

by The 100 Companies

Pasco County will soon be home to one of Amazon’s most advanced facilities, as the ecommerce giant plans to build a 500,000-square-foot robotic sortation center, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

The facility will be placed off of State Road 52, and is expected to create 500 jobs. Plans for the center were announced last week at the Pasco County Economic Development Council’s economic forecast luncheon.

The deal stems from the county’s Ready Sites program, which preps large parcels of land for development. Once properties are selected for development, companies are able to quickly and easily start construction.
