Riding for a Cause: Join Our Parkinson’s Ride and Support a Worthy Cause
At Scarborough Bicycle Accident Law, we’re not just passionate about advocating for cyclists’ rights, we’re also dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our community. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our upcoming Parkinson’s Ride on Sunday, April 13th, and we invite you to join us in supporting this important cause.
Parkinson Awareness: Riding for a Purpose
Our Parkinson’s Ride is more than just a cycling event—it’s a symbol of hope, resilience, and solidarity in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. Led by our founder, Matt Scarborough, whose personal connection to Parkinson’s fuels his passion for making a difference, this ride is a tribute to his late father, who bravely battled this disease until 2020.
How You Can Get Involved:
We believe that everyone has the power to create positive change, and that’s why we’re inviting members of our community to join us in supporting the Parkinson’s Ride in two meaningful ways:
Ride 100 Miles Challenge: Throughout the month leading up to the Parkinson’s Ride, we challenge you to ride 100 miles on your bike. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, every mile counts. Simply join our Strava page and track your rides to be eligible for a special reward—a custom cycling jersey commemorating your dedication to the cause.
Participate in the Parkinson’s Ride: On Sunday, April 13th, join us for a memorable day of cycling, camaraderie, and fundraising. The ride costs $20.00 to participate, and all proceeds will go directly to the Davis Phinney Parkinson’s Foundation (DPF), a cause near and dear to our hearts. Your support will help fund research, programs, and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s. Share the event and invite your friends to ride via the Facebook event invite. Or ask others to donate as part of your ride using the DCF team page—be sure you registered as part of the event riding team.

Why We Ride for Parkinson’s Awareness
For Matt Scarborough and our entire firm, the fight against Parkinson’s is personal. We’ve seen firsthand the impact of this disease on individuals and families, and we’re committed to doing everything in our power to support those affected by it. That’s why we donate 1% of all profits to Parkinson’s charities, with a special emphasis on the Davis Phinney Foundation, which promotes cycling as a therapeutic tool for managing Parkinson’s symptoms.
