Tampa Bay Rays make history … again

by The 100 Companies

With a 4-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Rays are now 24-6 this season, adding the team to an exclusive baseball history club.

The team is now 20-0 in games when it scored first, according to OptaSTATS on Twitter.

“That ties the 1990 Reds for the longest winning streak when scoring first by any MLB team to begin a season in the modern era,” the tweet said.

This comes after the Rays opened the season with 13 straight wins, tying the modern era record, which is since 1900.

The Rays continue to top MLB wins this season.
