The off season for USF football was filled with excitement, with multiple talent upgrades coming through recruiting and the NCAA transfer portal.
But with the start of the season just a month away, the Bulls have to prove they can translate that energy into victories. Until they do, the rest of college football will look at them skeptically.
The Bulls were picked to finish 9th out of 11 AAC teams in the media poll.
Houston was picked over defending champion Cincinnati to win the conference, with UCF third.
The Bulls open their season on Sept. 4 at home against powerful BYU.
