Bolts fall in overtime to open Stanley Cup final

The opening game of the Stanley Cup finals went into overtime—sort of. The extra period lasted just 83 seconds before the home-standing Colorado Avalanche scored to beat the Lightning 4-3.

It’s the third time in this post-season that the Bolts lost the opening game on the road. The Bolts rallied from identical deficits against Toronto and the Rangers to win.

Andre Burakovsky scored the winning goal for Colorado, while Nick PaulOndrej Palat, and Mikhail Sergachev scored for the Bolts. Tampa Bay was bolstered by the return of injured superstar Brayden Point,
