USF football has scored a potentially program-lifting move after former Baylor quarterback Gerry Bohanon announced he is transferring to the Bulls.
“I picked USF because I believe in that staff, I believe in the culture, I believe in the change that’s coming,” he told ESPN in a text message. “I believe in the players, I believe in Tampa.”
He considered BYU, Georgia Tech, Liberty and Oklahoma.
Bohanon went 10-2 as Baylor’s starter last season with 18 touchdown passes and nine rushing scores. He also led the Bears to wins over four ranked teams: Oklahoma, BYU, Iowa State and Ole Miss.
