The Bucs will get a first look at the players they took in the just-completed NFL Draft at their rookie mini-camp on May 13-14.
Normally, they would fill out their eight-player Draft class with several free agents who went undrafted. But as team Vice President of Player Personnel John Spytek explained, that’s getting harder to do.
“It’s a different era for Bucs. I mean, we’re just trying to fill (undrafted) free agency right now, and everyone’s like, ‘Yeah, I don’t think so. You got a pretty deep roster,'” Spytek said. “Five years ago, they were lining up to come here.”
