The USF men’s basketball team will have to replace point guard Caleb Murphy, the Bulls’ leading scorer from last season.
Murphy entered the NCAA transfer portal, 247 Sports reported. Murphy, who played two seasons at USF, averaged 11.4 points per game. He has yet to select a new school.
The Bulls are hopeful that incoming freshman Ryan Conwell of Indianapolis can help fill the void. Conwell, who committed to USF last September, averaged 16.5 points per game last season. He had offers from Xavier, Murray State, and Virginia Tech.
USF also signed 6-11 center Dok Muordar, originally from South Sudan.
