Rowdies continue winning streak

by The 100 Companies

While the Rowdies record-setting shutout streak ended, the team’s winning ways did not.

They defeated Hartford 2-1 upping their winning streak to seven and their unbeaten streak to 10 games.

When Hartford scored deep into stoppage time in the second half, it was the first goal the Rowdies had surrendered in 891 minutes of play.

The Rowdies now lead their division by seven points over second-place Pittsburgh. They also have two matches in hand over the Riverhounds.

Tampa Bay’s road trip continues Saturday when the Rowdies travel to the Charleston Battery.

They are back on Oct. 7, also against Charleston.
