The USF Bulls football team had a nightmarish 45-0 loss at North Carolina State to open the season. It won’t get any easier Saturday when they host the Florida Gators at Raymond James Stadium.
Game time is 1 p.m.
Florida opened its season with a 35-14 win over Florida Atlantic, which is coached by former USF head man Willie Taggart.
The Bulls’ unexpectedly poor showing prompted this headline from The Daily Stampede: “USF Football Remains a Deflated Balloon, Gets Walloped 45-0 by NC State.” To say the Bulls’ 2021 season opened with a thud would be unfair to thuds.
