Developer alters design of 55-story condo tower in Downtown Tampa to appease city

by The 100 Companies

The city of Tampa and developer Kolter Urban have reached an agreement, allowing a proposed 55-story tower to move forward in Downtown Tampa.

The condo tower at North Tampa and East Twiggs streets will be redesigned to incorporate the 1920s architectural character of the Tarr Furniture Building.

“ONE Tampa will now give a nod to downtown Tampa’s rich history while breaking records as the tallest residential development on Florida’s west coast,” said Brian Van Slyke, regional president at Kolter Urban.

The condo tower will hold 311 residential units and a ground-floor restaurant. The project is expected to break ground in 2023.
