Here’s the St. Pete City Council candidates advancing to November’s general election

St. Petersburg held its municipal Primary Election Tuesday, with three City Council seats on the ballot. The top two vote-getters will face off in the November General Elections.

For the District 1 race, financial planner Copley Gerdes and lobbyist Bobbie Shay Lee advanced, both collecting about 34% of the vote.

The District 4 race saw former prosecutor Lisset Hanewicz and Raymond James executive Tom Mullins advance. Hanewicz took 42% of the vote, Mullins 23%.

Local teacher Richie Floyd and former City Council member Jeff Danner will face off for District 8. Floyd garnered 51% of the vote, and Danner took 27%.
