Neighborhoods to host Tampa City Council candidate forum

A coalition of 20 South Tampa neighborhoods are sponsoring a Tampa City Council candidate forum Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Tampa Garden Club, located at 2629 Bayshore Blvd. A meet and greet will precede the forum at 6 p.m.

The forum will feature candidates in Districts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. 

News Channel 8’s Jeff Patterson will moderate the forum. 

The event excludes District 5 because it doesn’t represent South Tampa. City Council member Luis Viera was re-elected to District 7 without opposition. It’s the only District that won’t appear on the March 7 ballot.
