Chad Chronister named Tampa Bay’s Most Powerful Politician

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister has been named by Florida Politics as Tampa Bay’s Most Powerful Politician, earning the top spot on the list after landing at No. 3 last year.

Following Chronister is Tampa Mayor Jane Castor at No. 2 and state Rep. Lawrence McClure at No. 3. Rounding out the top five are St. Pete Mayor Ken Welch and U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor.

The 11th annual list comes during a pivotal presidential election year that will see a rematch at the top of the ticket between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
