Former Hillsborough County Commissioner Les Miller has earned the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity’s Distinguished Citizen Award.

Miller, now an executive vice president and principal of local practice with Shumaker Advisors, was recognized for his long history of public service spanning five decades – from the U.S. Air Force to his role on the County Commission and in the Florida House of Representatives.

“Receiving this award recognition speaks volumes about (Miller’s) character, honesty and integrity. In addition, through the years, Les has worked extremely hard to help bring his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., to Tampa. Congratulations!” Commissioner Gwen Myers said.
