WUSF debuts new global news program: ‘The World’

by The 100 Companies

WUSF this week is debuting a new daily radio program, “The World,” focused on international journalism.

The new program began airing Monday and will run daily from 3-4 p.m. before the classic and popular “All Things Considered.”

Segments include reports such as how a Boston hospital changed a 6-year-old Ukrainian girl’s life and how Cuba’s communist government canceled its International Workers Day parade.

The new program is a news magazine format designed to provide a unique perspective on daily reports by covering American news through the eyes of foreign observers and putting foreign affairs into context for American listeners.
