University of South Florida St. Petersburg Psychology Professor Tiffany Chenneville has been awarded the American Psychological Association’s Springfield Policy Congressional Fellowship, the school recently announced.
The award allows her to work with a member of Congress on policies to advance health and well-being among LGBTQ+ communities.
The fellowship will allow Chenneville to work on Capitol Hill for one year, drafting legislation, analyzing research, assisting with congressional hearings and preparing briefs.
Chenneville begins her fellowship in August. Following a two-week orientation, she will interview in various Congressional offices and be matched with a member working toward similar LGBTQ+ goals and priorities.
