Ousted Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren plans to appeal a federal ruling that declined to give him his job back.
Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended Warren last year over pledges Warren made not to prosecute abortion or transgender treatment offenses, as well as policies he implemented not to pursue charges in certain low-level non-violent crimes.
Warren filed a notice of appeal Tuesday seeking to bring his lawsuit before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit in Atlanta.
Warren was twice elected by voters to serve as the State Attorney for Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County.
