Winner and Loser of the Week in Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay Lightning fans are the big winner this week, thanks to NHL superstar Steven Stamkos, who became the 47th NHL player to score 500 goals.

The record-setting goal came during the Lightning’s 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks last Wednesday, when he not only hit 500, he nailed a hat trick for 502.

The region’s loser might not be celebrating. Tampa City Council candidate Chase Harrison is facing backlash from reports he faced 10 violations as an officer with the Tampa Police Department. Harrison is running for District 1 where he is at the bottom of fundraising in the race.
