Hanging out at local skating rinks with friends was a favorite childhood pastime for those of us in Generation X.
Now, Pattinis South Tampa on Gandy Boulevard is recreating those memories with an upscale twist. Classic arcade games and traditional roller skating are paired with a cocktail bar and American fusion cuisine, including sushi.
Pattinis aims to be a place where adults can unwind – whether with their kids or enjoying an adults-only night out. So far, the facility seems to have struck a nostalgic nerve: More requests are coming in for corporate events and adult parties than children’s celebrations.
