Protect Your Pets From Heatstroke

by

Summertime heat in cars, on the beach or during daytime walks can be dangerous for your pet. Keep your pets safe with these tips to avoid heatstroke:

– Leave pets at home while running errands. If you must take your pet, keep the car running with the air conditioning on. It’s not enough to crack a window.

– Recognize signs of heatstroke, like if your dog stops barking, becomes lethargic or pants heavily.

– Take walks in the early morning or late evening when it’s slightly cooler. Even a walk or run in the middle of the day can be dangerous for pets.
