Volunteers of America of Florida provides housing and related services to Floridians in need, such as homeless veterans, low-income seniors, and individuals and families coping with mental illness. It is the state’s largest provider of transitional housing for veterans.
In May, Volunteers of America of Florida will open a community center at its Kaylee Bay Veterans Village in Tampa, which provides quality and affordable housing to veterans and their families in need. Give Day donations will be used to purchase supplies for the center and essential items to help participants become independent, such as bus passes and work clothes.
