The Greek Islands are a popular tropical vacation destination. Santorini and Mykonos are two of the most visited islands, but if you don’t venture out further, you’ll be missing out.
Consider flying to Athens and traveling by ferry to two lesser-known but breathtaking islands:
– Aegina: 45 minutes from Athens and home to the Temple of Aphaea. The small, quiet island is perfect for relaxation. Great seafood taverns and secluded beaches.
– Hydra: 90 minutes from Athens, Hydra is known for its nightlife and fine dining. No cars allowed. Horseback riding on the beach is a must.
