America’s longest aerial tramway — the Sandia Peak Tramway — is one of Central New Mexico’s most popular attractions.
Spanning 2.7 miles, the Tram carries passengers over Cibola National Forest’s deep canyons, granite rock spires and cliffs, and aspen, pine, fir and spruce trees in the eastern Albuquerque area.
Marvel at the views along the 15-minute ascent, but the real highlight is located at the 10,378-foot peak. A restaurant called High Finance has unparalleled panoramic views of the Rio Grande Valley and much of New Mexico. Enjoy a gin and tonic while taking in the colorful desert sunset.
