Chico the Chihuahua arrived at the SPCA Tampa Bay Veterinary Center after injuring his two front legs. He needed splints for his fractures and many vet visits, but his owners didn’t have the ability to provide this care.
SPCA Tampa Bay stepped forward to care for Chico, and its CEO Martha Boden and her husband decided to foster Chico while he received medical care and physical therapy. Foster families are key in helping pets that need significant medical attention have the time and loving care to recover.
After four months, Chico has fully healed and he’s now ready for adoption.
