Help alleviate your dog’s stress

by

Dogs experience stress just like humans. They feel a wide range of emotions, including fear and anxiety, and express these emotions through a variety of verbal and physical cues.

Common signs of stress in dogs include shaking, pinned-back ears and whining, but dogs also show it in subtle ways. Here are some other signs of stress:

– Excessive drooling or panting

– Lowered or tucked-in tail

– Excessive shedding

– Yawning

– Half-moon eyes

– Decreased appetite

To help your dog, try to eliminate factors that are causing stress, create areas where your dog feels safe, consider medication and get assistance if needed.
