Prekindergarten provides children with the tools they need to succeed in kindergarten. Florida’s free Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) covers the cost of half the school day, but leaves families to provide care before and after the program, or arrange transportation for their child.
Now, Pinellas County families can enroll in a new program called PreK All Day that offers income-based scholarships for children ages 4-5 for a full day of care. PreK All Day offers care during summer and throughout the school year, and is available at select early learning centers throughout Pinellas County. Families can apply online.
