A Plant in a 100-Year-Old Typewriter?

For a unique take on holiday plant gifts, check out Urban Roots on Central in St. Petersburg.

The plant and home décor shop, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, specializes in subtropical plants like succulents and cacti. The store, located across the street from Tropicana Field, is known for placing plants in odd items. Think 100-year-old typewriter or an oil can.

For the holidays, keep an eye out for the store’s striped poinsettias and miniature Norfolk pines, which are put inside Christmas ornaments. They also make custom arrangements to give your holiday tabletop its own shine.
