Cats Film Festival to Help Local Felines

Local organizations need cat food donations to replenish resources depleted helping the community during Hurricane Irma. And kitten season, when shelters see an annual increase in homeless kittens, will be here after the new year.

As an added incentive, donations of an 8-pound bag of dry food or six cans of wet food will score you tickets to the Dec. 2 Cats Film Festival, a fun compilation of cat videos at Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo.

Donation locations: SPCA Tampa Bay/MEOW Now, Pinellas County Animal Services, Humane Society of Pinellas, St. Petersburg Free Clinic and Friends of Strays.
