Artist showcases importance of art scholarships

by

Siobhan Monique was the first recipient of TBBCA’s Art Stars Scholarships Program for vocal music. Since the program’s founding in 2008 by the late Charlie Hounchell, TBBCA has provided financial tuition assistance for higher education in the arts to over 60 students.

After graduating from USF, Monique has performed with numerous jazz and funk bands. She is currently enjoying acclaim as lead singer of Siobhan Monique and The Negro Ninjaz. And she’s started a business using music as a method for healing.

Her stunning performance at TBBCA’s IMPACT Awards underscored the importance of continuing to financially support young, talented artists.
