Go beyond the gallery walls and explore abstract art in the form of music at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg this Saturday, July 28.

Three African-American women composers showcase sonic experiences as a complement to the abstract art found in the exhibition Magnetic Fields: Expanding American Abstraction, 1960s to Today, now on view.

Composers Elizabeth A. Baker of St. Petersburg, Renée Baker of Chicago and Pamela Z of San Francisco will perform original works and participate in a panel discussion about abstract art and music. Sonic Abstraction begins at 2 p.m. Complimentary with museum admission.
