Communities nationwide are using arts, culture and creativity to embrace “creative placemaking,” which fosters growth by building a community’s character and engagement.
Treasure Tampa (T²), a project of the Gobioff Foundation that facilitates creative placemaking in Tampa, is hosting a Sept. 29 event to explain how it works.
“Creative Placemaking, A City Community Partnership” will feature leaders from Intermedia Arts and the city of Minneapolis talking about their successful Creative Citymaking project. A panel discussion with leaders from the city of Tampa, the University Area Community Development Corp., and the USF School of Architecture & Community Design will follow. Register online.
