Ever wonder how people take those amazing photos of a starry sky? It’s actually pretty simple. All you need is a camera with manual settings, a tripod, a clear moonless night sky and minimal light pollution.
Now manually set your camera to a low (aka slow) shutter speed, e.g. 1/20, allowing the maximum light to hit the sensor, it being night time and all. The tripod is essential to ensuring you don’t blur the image whilst the shutter is open.
Voila, you should get a nice bright image of the stars. If not, check here for more help.
