Theatre eXceptional – a theatre group for, about and including adults with disabilities – is partnering with the Deaf Literacy Center to bring “Children of a Lesser God” to St. Petersburg.
The Tony Award-winning play has been heralded for highlighting the struggles faced by the deaf community. The play chronicles a deaf woman’s romance with her former teacher, who can hear.
The play will include a diverse cast of hearing, deaf and hard-of-hearing actors who will sign throughout the performance. Check it out March 17-19 at The Space at 2106 or March 24 at The Palladium’s Side Door.
