Florida’s first solo exhibition showcasing the extraordinary career and life of acclaimed 20th century artist Frida Kahlo opens Dec. 17 at St. Petersburg’s Dali Museum.
The exhibit explores the striking artwork and fascinating psyche of the celebrated artist and icon. More than 60 of Kahlo’s pieces will be on display, including 15 paintings, seven drawings and personal photographs. The exhibit will extend outdoors into the museum’s Avant-garden with a special collection of flowers and plants representative of those found in Kahlo’s garden at Casa Azul, her home in Mexico.
