The upcoming exhibit “Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art” at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg explores the connections between Latino art and U.S. history and culture.
Taken from the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s vast collection of Latino art, the expansive exhibit includes works created since the 1950s. It features artists who define themsleves in a number of ways — some of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban and Dominican descent, and diasporic Latin American groups with deep roots in the United States.
“Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art” is on display Oct. 27 to Jan. 22.
