Angel Tree requests break records in Pinellas County

by The 100 Companies

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which provides gifts to kids 12 and under in need, has received more requests in Pinellas County this year than ever before, with 2,241 local kids receiving gifts through the program.

Last year, there were about 1,900 requests, according to Bay News 9.

Despite the influx, the program was able to fulfill every single request. Donors select an angel from a tree at participating locations and provide a gift from the child’s wishlist.

Every single tag this year was claimed, and tags that were not returned with gifts will be filled using individual toy donations.
