Most residents — 85% — would recommend Hillsborough County as a good place to live to family or friends, according to the results of a countywide survey conducted earlier this year.
The survey found that 87% of residents trust in Hillsborough County government, and 45% are optimistic that the quality of life in five years will be even better.
As for areas of criticism, residents would like to see improvement in traffic flow, mental health services and homeless support services.
Conducted by HCP Associates, the telephone survey polled 1,400 residents at random throughout Hillsborough County. The research follows a similar survey in 2019.
