Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister is working to promote the COVID-19 vaccination among his deputies.
In a letter sent to all office personnel, Chronister lists the benefits of getting vaccinated against COVID-19, as well as incentivizes officers by allowing fully vaccinated personnel who test positive to be put on paid administration leave while quarantining.
“COVID-19 pandemic is changing rapidly and utilizing all prevention strategies is essential to protect our personnel and the community we serve,” Chronister writes in the letter. “All personnel are encouraged to get a COVID-19 vaccination, practice social distancing, wear a facial covering and practice good hygiene.”
