St. Pete’s Reading Room is worth a visit – or 12

With a James Beard-nominated chef, the Reading Room in St. Pete is certainly one to try. It’s been open for nearly two years, but the changing menu makes each visit a new experience.

One fan favorite and menu staple is “Our Bread and Butter.” It’s far from its ordinary sounding name. The delectable combination is homemade – the bread changes daily and the butter comes perfectly salted.

One tip: make reservations. The former Christian Science Reading Room at 6001 Central Ave. (near FreeFall Theatre) has limited seating. And plan to see the restaurant’s vegetable and herb garden during your visit.
