Frog Pond, which has been serving the masses in Redington Beach and St. Pete Beach for years, is known for its hearty portions. And the newest location in downtown St. Petersburg is no different.
My favorites: The cinnamon roll French toast, a decadent take on a classic, is a must try. The lox benedict – exactly what it sounds like – also shouldn’t be missed. Served on a grilled bagel, it boasts all of the fixings of a traditional nova lox plus poached eggs and hollandaise.
Work up an appetite, and check it out at 890 Third Ave. S near Tropicana Field.
