Preserving habitats as Florida gets more crowded

Florida Wildlife Corridor embarks on a one-week “Heartland to Headwaters” expedition this month to examine how Florida’s wildlife can more safely travel between its habitats.

Expedition members will traverse a narrow connection between Florida wetlands to determine how to better connect and protect habitats. They’ll travel the way a Florida black bear may, navigating fast-growing urban areas that are now sliced with major highways.

With Give Day funds, it will develop educational advocacy materials including a short film about the expedition. Your financial gift supports efforts to protect state wildlife by preserving the habitats they need to survive.
